Chelsea to face Real and City handed Bayern clash in tough quarter-final draw

Chelsea will face Real Madrid and Manchester City have been drawn against Bayern Munich in the Champions League quarter-final.

The Premier League duo are on a collision course to face each other in a mouth-watering semi-final tie should they see off their heavyweight last-eight opponents.

AC Milan, who knocked out Tottenham in the last 16, will go head-to-head with Serie A leaders Napoli in an all-Italian clash, with the final quarter-final seeing Inter Milan face off with Benfica.

Holders Real eliminated the Blues at this stage of last season’s competition on the way to lifting the trophy for the 14th time.

It looks an even more daunting task this time around, with Graham Potter’s men languishing in 10th place in the Premier League after an underwhelming campaign.

Pep Guardiola returns to face former club Bayern in an equally enticing affair as the Citizens bid to finally land their first-ever Champions League triumph.

Erling Haaland has admitted that winning Europe's premier competition is the reason he was brought to the Etihad and the Norwegian will be essential to their hopes.

He already has 10 goals after smashing five in his last outing and is leading the top scorer standings.

The Bavarians have won the competition six times and knocked out Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe’s Paris Saint-Germain to reach this stage.

Napoli are the competition’s dark horses this term after a sensational campaign which has seen them fly 18 points clear in the Italian top flight.

They will head into their tie as favourites against Milan, who have struggled to replicate their title-winning form from last season but did claim the scalp of Spurs in the last 16.

Neighbours Inter are also up against a tricky opponent in Benfica, who are leaders in Portuguese Primeira Liga and dismantled Club Brugge 7-1 on aggregate in the previous round.
