Real Madrid complete signing of Turkish wonderkid Guler

Real Madrid have signed Arda Guler from Fenerbahce.

The Turkish wonderkid has penned a six-year deal at the Bernabeu.

Guler, 18, took to social media to bid farewell to his boyhood club. He said: "It's time to say goodbye to Fenerbahce, where I had the best days of my life.

"I will never forget the first time I wore the kit that I dreamed of, the pride of the No10 jersey, the magnificent Fenerbahce fans and the amazing support I encountered everywhere I set foot.

"It's hard to say goodbye but I had to take this decision to make those who believe in me more proud, to give hope to everyone who is about to give up, and to prove that Turkish youth can achieve anything they want.

"Thank you to everyone who has helped me become the person I am today.

"You will always be in my heart, my dear Fenerbahce, who opened the door for me to the national team, made a dream come true, and I will always remember it with good memories. Well done Fenerbahce."

Guler is the latest young midfield talent to join the Spanish giants, teaming up with Jude Bellingham, Aurelien Tchouameni and Eduardo Camavinga.

The left-footed technician scored four league goals and supplied four assists last season and showcased his skills in the Turkish Cup final — supplying Michy Batshuayi for the opener and earning the man-of-the-match award in a 2-0 win.

He made his senior debut at 16 and provided an assist on his first Super Lig appearance.
